Emily Palmer was raised around agriculture from a very young age on a wheat and cow calf operation in Ness County, Kansas. This was one of the driving forces that led her to first obtain her Organizational Leadership and Marketing undergraduate degrees and later her Masters of Business Administration degree from Fort Hays State University. Upon completion from FHSU, Emily worked for State Farm Insurance two years as an agent where she acquired her Property, Casualty, Crop, Life, Health & Banking licensing. Wanting to work closer with the agriculture sector of insurance and directly with other agents and farmers she decided to change her direction and pursued a career with Rain and Hail crop insurance. During her 10 years with Rain and Hail she was the territory Marketing Supervisor for Kansas, Colorado, and Wyoming. She gained extensive knowledge about Multi-Peril and Crop Hail insurance products and the compliance requirements for selling and maintaining these types of policies.

For fun Emily likes to spend time with her husband Nick, her children Gracie and Lincoln, and tending to her prized chickens! “We love to be outdoors either scouting fields, farming or ranching. Depending on the time of year if everything is planted or harvested, and when we don’t have deadlines, we also love to get away to the mountains!” For her spare time, she also loves serving her community by volunteering for both Share the Spirit and Cornerstone Resource Center.
